Ford India had recently launched a celebration edition of the Figo to push the sales of the hatchback, which is feeling some heat nowadays from its rivals. To make it an attractive package, the manufacturer had introduced the celebration edition with stylish body graphics and additional accessories like satnav system, roof spoiler, scuff plates, etc. To make the Figo all the more attractive, Ford dealers are currently offering an additional push button start/stop system and a security system for the hatchback.
The retrofitted system of push button start and vehicle tracking system is available with the dealers for Rs. 30,000/- and can be fitted on all trims of the Figo except for the base trim. Both the features are included in a single package and cannot be installed separately. The start/stop button is positioned behind the steering wheel, so if you give the car to the valet, you have to tell him where the button is placed or else he is in big trouble.
Instead of pressing the clutch, which is the conventional mechanism of push start button feature, the driver has to press the brake pedal in order to start the vehicle. The vehicle tracking system on the other hand is a safety feature where the car can be shut down remotely and all the electronics are completely switched off in case of a theft. Ford is offering a heavy list of features on the Figo in order to attract hatchback buyers.
