A Facebook post on the Pulsar RS 200 Colombia page shows a new red and white colour scheme on display for the Pulsar RS 200 sold in Colombia. The photo was snapped in a trade show and the new colour may soon be launched in Colombia.
Bajaj Auto in Colombia has just unveiled a new colour for its Pulsar RS 200. The new scheme will sport a red and white dual-tone pattern, and ends up looking similar to a limited edition shade offered on the Yamaha R15. The colour scheme was unveiled at a trade show and might soon be launched in the Colombian market.
One issue we have always had with the Pulsar RS 200 were the looks. While there is no dispute of what a capable machine the RS 200 is, the design of the bike has put off many people from buying it. Flashy would be an understatement when comes to describing the RS 200’s looks. And as if all the cuts, creases and bumps were not enough, Bajaj added a sticker job to top it all off. Mere absence of decals would greatly help in integrating all the styling features.
Rant aside, the new colour does a much better job of the decals. While they are still present, they don’t try and pop out the design features. On the flip side, the bike actually looks quite attractive, and much more understated than the currently available colour schemes in India.
Everything else remains exactly the same, and the Pulsar RS is still powered by a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 199.5cc engine, which outputs 24.2 HP of power and 18.6 Nm of torque, which comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike gets a single channel ABS unit up front as an option.
