Pulsar RS 200 Custom Colours Spotted At Dealership

Bajaj’s Pulsar RS 200 has been spotted wearing custom single-tone shades at a dealership in Nagpur.

The orange colour reminds us of the metallic orange Pulsar 220F launched in 2010

The Pulsar RS 200 from Bajaj has been surrounded with huge anticipation since it was first showcased as the SS 400 concept in 2014 till its official launch in 2015. While its radical styling met with mixed reactions, there are absolutely no second thoughts about the overall package on offer. A Bajaj dealer located in Nagpur, Maharashtra is offering two new custom colours to push sales this festive season.

The spotted bikes are equipped with cost cut single-channel ABS and are finished in single-tone shades of orange and green. In case of busy designs like that of the Pulsar RS 200, different colours tend to change the appearance drastically. Originally launched with two flashy shades of red and yellow, the 2017 Pulsar RS 200 now comes in Graphite Black and Racing Blue colours under the new ‘Laser Edged’ theme.

Custom paint jobs have been a trend with the Pulsar RS 200 with dealers coming out with different shades from time to time to clear stocks faster. These new pop colours give a refreshing look to the motorcycle but will turn out to be too loud for many customers. While there is no price difference over standard colours for a majority of colours, a dealer was reportedly offering custom Matte Black shade at a premium of Rs. 15,000/- at some point of time.

Powering the Pulsar RS 200 is a 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine which develops 24.5 PS of power and 18.3 Nm of torque. This fuel-injected motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is BS4 compliant. The bike features telescopic forks at the front and a Nitrox monoshock at the other end. Prices start at Rs. 1.26 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and an optional single-channel ABS unit is also on offer.
