The Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, NS 200 special editions are unlikely to launch in India.
Bajaj has launched Pulsar NS 160 and NS 200 special edition variants in Colombia. The new variants are available with white and black colour schemes and sport neon yellow decals on the fuel tank, headlamps and on the rear panel which distinguishes it from other variants. A similar shade of neon yellow has been used on the rims of the bike as well. The special edition also features a ‘Pulsarmania’ sticker on the rear panel.
In addition, the Pulsar NS 160 and NS 200 get knuckle guards, crash guards and rubber pads on the tanks. The extra accessories are not available on the standard variants of the bike.
It is worth noting that the special edition variants only get cosmetic changes. Mechanically, the bikes remain similar to the standard variants and share similar underpinnings with them.
The Pulsar NS 160 uses a 160.3cc SOHC oil-cooled, DTS-i engine which produces 15.5 PS and 14.6 NM of torque. The NS 160 comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The Pulsar NS 200 uses a 199.5cc SOHC 4 valve liquid-cooled triple spark DTS-i engine. This powertrain delivers 23.5 PS and 18.3 NM of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It is unlikely for Bajaj to launch these variants in India.
A new mid-segment variant of the Pulsar family with a 125cc engine might be launched by Bajaj by the end of 2020. This new motorcycle will not be the NS 125 sold internationally.
