German manufacturer Porsche has launched the more powerful Panamera GTS in India for Rs. 2.34 Crore. The GTS sits above the Standard Panamera which was launched in May this year. GTS stands for Gran Turismo Sport, which focuses more on the driving dynamics. Powering the 4 door salon is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. Pushing out 494 bhp to the rear wheels, 20 more than the previous gen. The car touches 3 digit speeds in a claimed 3.8 seconds thanks to the 8-speed PDK gearbox and tops out at 302 km/hr.
The vehicle has several variant-specific features. These include satin black finishes on exterior trim elements such as the side skirts, front insets, side window trim, and rear bumper. The GTS also features darker tinted headlamps and tail lights, riding on centre-locking Anthracite Grey 21-inch alloy wheels. Buyers have the option to choose from a range of wheel designs in both 20-inch and 21-inch sizes beyond the standard units. A sports exhaust comes standard finished in dark bronze, making the GTS model look bold and sporty.
Inside the car, you get a luxurious, driver-focused cockpit that combines high-quality materials such as leather and Alcantara with an intuitive and visually appealing layout. The GTS-specific interior trim and sport seats enhance its exclusivity. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, featuring a large touchscreen, controls numerous functions, from navigation and audio to vehicle settings.
The cabin boasts standard all-black leather and Race-Tex upholstery, with options for single-tone and dual-tone leather interiors. Buyers can also choose GTS-specific interior packs in Carmine Red or Slate Grey Neo, which include matching seatbelts and contrast stitching. Adaptive sport seats with 18-way power adjustability come standard. The GTS typically seats four, but buyers can opt for a fifth seat by replacing the rear centre storage.
While globally the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the fastest, Porsche doesn’t plan on launching it in India. Making the GTS variant the fastest in the Panamera line-up.
