Porsche announced special editions of its Cayenne SUV, labelled as the Platinum Edition. The limited edition SUV will be available in both petrol as well as diesel versions.
With an unmistakably Porsche appearance, the car is offered with premium quality features and an even more mature and focused stature. The large 20-inch wheels in RS Spyder design, housed in wider wheel arches gives it a distinctive sporty appearance, making it easily recognisable at the very first glance.
The limited edition Cayenne, boasting a muscular appearance, is available in a range of standard colours, such as non-metallic black or white, Jet Black Metallic, Rhodium Silver Metallic, Mahogany Metallic, Carrera White Metallic. A special exterior colour named Purpurite Metallic is available as an option. The models’ exclusive appearance is rounded out by a high-gloss exterior package. Other highlights include the Bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), power steering plus and Park Assist in the front and rear.
Inside, the Cayenne gets a special status with stainless steel door sills with “Platinum Edition” lettering and a variance of colours is provided by the interior packages. It also features the latest generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 7-inch touchscreen, online navigation, a BOSE Surround Sound system and Connect Plus module with Apple CarPlay. The Porsche Crest on the headrests and the model logo on the storage compartment of the centre console have been embossed by hand.
With no mechanical changes, the vehicle is powered by a 3.6-litre petrol engine producing 295 BHP and a mammoth torque output of 400 Nm at 3000 RPM, whilst the diesel version comes with a 3.0-litre engine that pumps out 241 BHP and a torque output of 550 Nm at 1750-2750 RPM. The petrol version is priced at Rs. 1,06,68,000/- while the diesel version is available for Rs. 1,08,86,000/- (Ex-showroom, Maharashtra).
