A minimum range of 80 kms is promised on a single charge by all the Polarity Smart Bikes.
Polarity Smart Bikes has revealed its new range of electric bikes priced from Rs. 38,000/- to Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric 2-wheelers are spread across 2 categories – Sport and Executive which include the S1K, S2K, and the S3K, as well as the E1K, E2K and the E3K. Bookings have begun against a token amount of Rs. 1001/-.
The electric bikes are emissions-free and aim to provide last-mile connectivity in the city. What’s interesting is that the bikes have a pedal along with an electric motor so that the rider is never stranded on the road in case the battery dies. He/she can just pedal away.
Polarity will also offer plug-in chargers, a standard home charger and an optional fast charger ranging from 40V 5A unit to an 80V 10A unit. The production capacity for the first year will be 15,000 units and deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2020. On top of that, for the first 70,000 units, only 2.5% of the state GST will be charged instead of 5%.

The entry-level E1K offers a top speed of 40 km/hr while top-of-the-line S3K can achieve a top speed of 100 km/hr. Polarity will also offer a 3-years warranty on the battery, which comes with a minimum of 1000 charging cycles.
In terms of features, the electric bikes get USD forks upfront and a monoshock unit at the rear, large spoke wheels with knobby tyres, LED lights and an all-digital instrument console. As an addition, the E3K and S3K get Bluetooth connectivity and GPS navigation system.
