Pininfarina B95 is the world’s first electric hyper speedster
Mahindra owned Automobili Pininfarina has revealed the B95. It is their first coachbuilt vehicle and the world’s first electric hyper speedster, or as they like to call it Barchetta.
The B95 was inspired by the Pura Vision design concept. The nomenclature B95 was derived from B that stands for Barchetta and the year it will get produced and delivered in 2025 which marks 95th anniversary of design house Pininfarina.
Only 10 bespoke examples will be made for collectors worldwide and it is priced at $4.8 million (Rs. 40 crores).
The design looks very futuristic and retro at the same time with great attention to detail for the speedster body-type. It gets a very sporty yet luxurious looking interior having dual screens tilted towards the driver, sporty squarish steering wheel, beautiful looking dual colour tone seats, etc.
It gets a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery. The performance car is powered by four electric motors producing a combined output of 1900 PS and 2360 Nm torque. This helps achieving 0-60 m/hr (96 km/hr) in under 2 seconds. It has a top speed of 299 km/hr.
By using DC fast chargers up to 270 kW, customers can charge this beast from 0 to 80 percent in 25 minutes. It comes with driving modes – Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa and Carattere. They haven’t revealed the official range of the vehicle yet.
