The Piaggio Porter 700 has been launched in India, priced at Rs. 3.18 lakhs.
Piaggio has the launched a new light commercial vehicle (LCV), the Porter 700 in India. The LCV will go against the likes of the Mahindra Jeeto and the Tata Ace. Priced at Rs. 3.18 lakhs (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), the Porter 700 is slotted between the Porter 600 and the Porter 1000.
The Porter 700 is a bigger version of the Porter 600 measuring 3544 mm in length, 1460 mm in width and 1738 mm in height. Powering the Porter 700 is a 652cc single-cylinder engine that produces 14 HP of power and 40 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed synchromesh gearbox.
The Porter 700 comes with a ground clearance of 218 mm and has a loading area of 30 sq.ft. The loading deck on the Porter 700 is 1950 mm long and 1400 mm wide that makes for a good cargo carrier.
