The Pune Motoplex concept store is the first in Southern Asia and houses Piaggio’s premium brands Moto Guzzi, Aprilia and Vespa under one roof.
Providing a better platform for its performance products to be visible, Piaggio India inaugurated the ‘Motoplex’ concept store in Pune recently that will cater to customers seeking products from Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi brands. The concept store is themed on the lines of the multi-brand stores that are set up in cities like Milan, New York, Shanghai and Beijing globally.
Located on Pune Nagar Road in Yerwada, the new Piaggio Motoplex concept store is the first of its kind in Southern Asia and represents the grand legacy and premium quality products that come along with the three brands that are being sold under one roof. The company states that the idea behind the store is to offer a complete retail experience and comes with a lounge for customers, complete with free Wi-Fi. Piaggio plans to open 90 such multi-brand stores globally by the end of 2015.
The Motoplex concept store currently holds a host of offerings on display and is certainly a treat for Italian bike enthusiasts. Under the Aprilia brand, the store showcases the RSV4, Tuono V4, Caponord 1200s, Dorsoduro 1200, Mana 850 and SRV 850 ABS scooter. Under the Moto Guzzi brand, the outlet showcases the California Custom and Touring SE, Eldorado, Griso 1200 8V SE and Audace. The more familiar and attainable Vespa brand has its entire lineup on display including the newly launched SXL and VXL 150cc scooters along with the older 125cc offerings.
In addition to the expansive display area for the bikes, the Pune Motoplex also retails official merchandise for all three two-wheeler brands while the basement holds the service workshop wherein regular maintenance and repairs on the motorcycles will be carried out. The Motoplex store enables a dealer to accommodate more brands under the same retail space which not only is cost effective but also helps in creating a better brand perception.
