Piaggio has unveiled its new electric scooter named the “One” through video-sharing platform TikTok.
Intended for a young audience and urban commuting, the Piaggio One, that has been designed in Italy, marks the arrival of a new generation of electric scooters from the brand.
Conceived as a global project, the electric scooter comes with pleasing styling. It sports twin LED headlamps with DRLs, body panels with crisp styling in a contrasting shade, low and flat seat and a minimalist tail section with a sharp (literally) LED tail light unit.
Riding on alloy wheels, the Piaggio One also comes with a cast alloy swingarm, disc brakes all-round, and features brush metal-finish parts for the added premium feel.
In terms of features, the scooter comes with a digital instrument panel, and a keyless start system, while the suspension hardware comprises a single-sided front suspension and twin rear shocks.
Until now, Piaggio has not revealed the capacity of the battery or the specifications of the One’s electric motor. But, the firm has claimed that the scooter will come with 2 motor maps.
What’s more, the Piaggio One will be available in several versions offering different power outputs and ranges and, its battery is removable, so as to enable customers to take it off the vehicle and recharge the pack where they please.
The scooter will debut at the Beijing Motor Show on 28th May, while European customers would be able to purchase the vehicle from dealerships by the end of June.
