The recently spied Peugeot 125cc scooter had some neo-retro components
A completely camouflaged 125cc scooter from Peugeot Motorcycles has been spied in India. The mysterious scooter has retro styling elements too.
Up front, the scooter has a rectangular headlight, a front panel that looks very much like the part on the Django and a stubby front fender.
It also comes with regular rear-view mirrors, a rectangular dash, a long single-piece saddle, curved side panels, grab handles on both sides and an exhaust with chromed heat shield.
Due to the recently spied Peugeot 125cc scooter having been fully covered with camouflage, it is hard to find out the exact design details, apart from the fact that it will likely have a wrap-around LED tail lamp.
The report carrying the images seen here states that this is a heavily revised version of the Django 125 tailored for the Indian market. Since the international version of the scooter was last seen India in the last month of 2020, this could well be the case.
Expect the scooter’s 125cc, single-cylinder engine to produce over 11 PS and 11 Nm of torque and be tuned to run on varied quality of fuel available in the country.
Nothing is known about the 2-wheeler’s launch timeline for now. But, upon launch, it will rival premium 125cc scooters that are on sale in the market.
