The hottest hatchback on Indian roads is the Volkswagen Polo 1.2 GT TSI. The car is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that puts a wide grin on the driver’s face with every throttle input. However Pete’s Performance has brought some extensive modifications on the brisk performer Polo GT TSI to spool out more from this powerful hatchback. The stock Polo TSI churns out 105 PS of power and 175 Nm of torque with its 1.2-litre turbocharged engine. Pete’s has already worked his magic on the Polo TSI earlier (HERE).
The Pete’s remap and the engine mods have boosted output to 125 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Pete’s has revised the whole car and the tune-ups have not only been done specifically for the performance. Rather the hottest hatch also looks more adrenalin junkie because of the ideal changes to its exterior. The remap and a forge dump valve are the major changes to the engine for the performance surge. The vehicle also gets Bilstein B14 suspension, Tarox front rotors and Powerflex bushes.
Inside the Pete’s tuned Polo, the race-inspired flat bottom steering wheel has been taken from the Polo GTI along with paddle shifters which is sure to amaze performance freaks. The Pete’s Polo is red in colour and the subtle exterior upgrade includes honeycomb GTI grille, Volkswagen body kit, Borbet RS wheels shod on 205/40/17 sized tyres, Smartwax’d, black roof, along with a sports spoiler at top of the tailgate. All this makes the Polo GT appeal more flamboyant.
The Pete’s Polo has an amazing piece of modifications with sober appearance and hidden beastly power under the hood. The actual performance figures are yet to be revealed but if we solve the algorithms with the stock Polo GT TSI figures, it doesn’t make it hard to believe the 0-100 km/hr sprint will take less than 9 seconds. However the total Pete’s modification on the Polo cost in lakhs, nonetheless every penny gives it returns when powerful sedans find it hard to encounter this breakneck pocket rocket.
