Bookings for the Ola Scooter can be made without any documents
Ola Electric has begun accepting bookings for the Ola Scooter and the reservation amount has been set at Rs. 499/-.
To reserve the Ola Scooter a person need only click a link on the official website and login using his or her phone number. Once signed in, the electric scooter can be reserved by paying the token amount.
Once the reservation is successful, the order ID and other details will be sent to the respective customer via SMS or email.
Ola Electric says a person may reserve multiple scooters and that no documents are needed to book the electric vehicle (EV).
All Ola Scooter bookings can be modified in the near future says the company. If the reservation is cancelled, the booking amount will be refunded within 7-10 working days.
Those who wish to transfer the Ola Scooter to someone else’s name can do so by raising a request.
Although the exact number of bookings Ola received for its scooter on the first day is unknown, the firm saw unexpected demand for the vehicle which led to issues on its website.
CEO of Ola Electric Bhavish Aggarwal, however, tweeted that the problem was addressed. His tweet read – “For those who faced issues in the beginning, apologies! We didn’t anticipate the crazy demand and didn’t plan enough scalability of the website. All fixed now.”
While Ola Scooter bookings are underway, multiple units of the EV have been spotted undisguised. At present it is clear that the scooter will be offered in paint choices such as Matte Black, Blue and Pink, while more colours might be on the cards.
The EV’s 7-inch digital instrument cluster was also spotted. It displays the remaining battery charge in percentage, range, time and also allows access to the trunk.
To be launched soon, the Ola Scooter will be produced at the Ola Futurefactory, located in Krishnagiri (Tamil Nadu).
