Ola has reduced prices for its electric scooter range for a limited time
Ola Electric has announced a limited time price reduction for its S1 scooter range for the month of February 2024. The price cuts apply to the S1 Pro, S1 Air and S1 X+ (3kWh) models.
The latest price adjustments come on the heels of a previous reduction in December 2023, where Ola Electric slashed the price of the S1 X+ model by Rs. 20,000/-, bringing it down from Rs. 99,999/- to Rs. 89,999/-. Now, with an additional discount of Rs. 25,000/-, the S1 X+ is available at Rs. 84,999/-.
A spokesperson from Ola Electric attributed these price reductions to the company’s robust vertically integrated technology and manufacturing capabilities. By restructuring costs, Ola Electric aims to pass on the benefits to customers, making electric scooters a stronger competition to traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) scooters. With prices now comparable to leading ICE scooters, Ola Electric is confident that consumers will find electric scooters more appealing.
In addition to the price cuts, Ola Electric has introduced an 8-year/80,000 km extended battery warranty for its entire scooter range at no extra cost. This move is likely to instill further confidence in potential buyers regarding the longevity and reliability of electric scooters.
Furthermore, the company has ambitious plans to bolster its service network, with intentions to expand by approximately 50 percent. This expansion will see the current nationwide total of 414 service centres grow to around 600 centres by April 2024, enhancing accessibility to maintenance and support for Ola Electric scooter owners.
