Ola electric bike components teased by CEO Bhavish Aggarwal
Ola Electric is gearing up to launch its first electric bike. The company’s CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, recently shared an image on social media that hints at the upcoming launch. The picture reveals a substantial battery pack encased in a tubular frame, signalling the arrival of Ola’s new electric bike.
On 15th August last year, Ola Electric unveiled four futuristic e-motorcycle concepts. Although these designs were more visionary than practical at the time, recent developments suggest a shift towards realistic models. The company has recently patented three new e-bike designs, which appear to be more grounded in practicality.
The teaser image shared by Bhavish Aggarwal shows a large battery pack, larger than those typically found in Indian e-scooters, housed within a tubular frame. Visible elements include a front sprocket, a chain final drive and a footpeg. The edge of a seat is also visible, positioned nearly at the same height as the top of the battery pack.
Ola’s upcoming electric motorcycle seems poised to compete with models like the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and the Matter Aera. This move could solidify Ola’s dominance in the electric vehicle market, where it already leads with its S1 electric scooter lineup.
Ola Electric is known for making significant announcements on the Independence Day. Given this history, it’s speculated that the first look or even the full reveal of their electric motorcycle could happen on this date. The anticipation is high as industry watchers and potential customers await further details.
