The Swift comes out on top with Maruti posting significantly better numbers than all other automakers.
Maruti has, in November, taken one more spot in the top 10 and now has the top six positions for its cars. But the Alto has been displaced from the first position to the fourth position by the Maruti Swift, which recorded a growth in sales by 29 percent. The Maruti Baleno has dropped down one position to 3rd while the Dzire takes the second spot with a sales increase of 21 percent. The Vitara Brezza retains the fifth position despite recording a drop in sales of 9 percent.
The Wagon R however, takes the 6th spot by recovering from a loss of 20 percent and the 9th spot. The remaining 4 positions are taken by the Hyundai Elite i20, the Creta, the Grand i10 and the Santro respectively. The Maruti Celerio has been displaced to 11th position by the Santro. It has also recorded a loss of 10 percent in sales.
The Tata Tiago comes up in 12th position and is once again followed by a slew of Maruti vehicles – the Eeco, Omni and the Ertiga. While both the Eeco and the Omni recorded a sales slump, the Ertiga shows the highest growth in numbers with a staggering 359 percent.
The Ertiga is followed by the Mahindra Bolero and the Innova Crysta from Toyota. Both vehicles have dropped down in the list, losing out on almost a fifth of their sales numbers each. They are then followed by vehicles that haven’t recorded too much of a slump in numbers, except the Scorpio which dropped from the 20th position to the 24th position because of a huge 37 percent fall in numbers.
After the Innova Crysta, the list continues with the Renault Kwid, Honda Amaze, Tata Nexon, Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Mahindra Marazzo, Mahindra Scorpio and the Honda WR-V. Except for the bottom three, the others have not shown a drastic fall in numbers. The Ford EcoSport and Maruti S-Cross have been displaced from the list by the Honda City and WR-V.
Overall, it seems only Maruti Suzuki has shown good improvements while the rest of the manufacturers have had a slow month.
