Nissan X-Trail spotted testing on Indian roads
Nissan X-Trail along with Qashqai and Juke was showcased recently for the Indian market and now the X-Trail has been spotted testing on Indian roads.
Few days back we spotted the camouflaged Nissan Qashqai and now its big brother X-Trail has been caught testing along with it.
The Japanese carmaker announced that the X-Trail will be launched in India soon after the testing completes. It is likely to hit the showrooms by mid-2023.
The X-Trail has been on sale in India in its first and second generation avatar. While the third generation was showcased to the Indian audience, it never made it to the showrooms.
The SUV is available in 5-seater and 7-seater options in the international market. It is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo petrol mild hybrid and 1.5-litre e-Power engine.
The e-Power version is available with both 2-wheel drive and all-wheel drive layouts. It produces 204 HP and 330 Nm of torque.
It will be imported to India directly via CBU and will compete against the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq and Toyota Fortuner. Likely to be priced around Rs. 40-45 lakhs (ex-showroom).
