Nissan has launched the updated Evalia in India which comes only a few days after Ashok Leyland launched its own version of the MPV, called the Stile. Since Ashok Leyland made some changes to the Stile, the Nissan Evalia was bound to get an update soon. Nissan has hiked the prices of the Evalia by Rs. 8000/- on the lower variants while the top-end XV is dearer by a bigger amount but that doesn’t matter as the company has slot another variant below the previous top-end XV trim. Two new variants are now part of the Evalia’s package – XL Option and XV Option.
Nissan doesn’t call the updated Evalia a facelift but instead the company says it has introduced new features in the vehicle. The added features are a result of customer feedback and include sliding windows in the middle row (small ones), captain seats in the second row, USB connectivity, anti-glare inside rear view mirror, rear wiper, rear defogger, front row assist grip, glove box lid and 15-inch alloy wheels (only on the top-end XV variant). A roof mounted AC blower for the second row is available as a dealer fitment option and fits directly.
