Nissan Unveils 2015 Navara Pickup Truck

Nissan has officially unveiled the twelfth generation of the its popular pickup truck, the Navara. The 2015 Navara pickup truck will also be sold as the Frontier in some markets like North America. The pickup truck segment accounts for a maximum share of sales in many international markets but the Indian market has only a limited number of vehicles in this segment namely the Tata Xenon, Mahindra Genio and Isuzu D-Max. The changes to the Navara from its predecessor are pretty evident and the new vehicle will be a step ahead in all the departments.

Nissan has primarily focused on the weaknesses of the previous generation vehicle before developing this new pickup truck. The new Navara pickup truck will feature a re-worked engine which is tuned to deliver high fuel efficiency and the vehicle also sees the reduction in kerb weight which will vastly improve the overall performance. The Navara will also feature a rigid and durable chassis frame. The design is now more sleeker as it incorporates the Japanese automakers new V-motion design philosophy. The exteriors of this pickup truck features redesigned headlights which also houses LED daytime running lights, blackened B-pillars as well as chrome contours for the front fog lamp housing.

The next generation Nissan Navara will be available with all the colours which were available with the model it replaces and Nissan has exclusively added two new colours namely Savannah yellow and Earth Bronze for this new vehicle. The pickup truck will be available with a wide range of body types and will be offered with various powertrain options. The vehicle will be offered with both all-wheel drive and two-wheel drive options. The interiors of the Navara will have major changes when compared with its predecessor and the pickup truck will now feature a redesigned dashboard which also includes an all new multi-function steering wheel.

The 2015 Nissan Navara pickup truck will be offered with reworked and improved versions of the popular 2.5-litre petrol and diesel powertrains which are currently performing duty in the present generation vehicle. Both the engines will be mated to either a 7-speed automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Nissan has concentrated on increasing the fuel economy of this pickup truck and the Japanese automaker says that the fuel efficiency has been improved by 11 percent over the previous generation model.
