Nissan Magnite Unveiled, Comes Kitted To The Brim To Take On Competition

Be in no doubt, the Magnite has heavy competition to face

After multiple official teasers and spy shots, the reveal of the Nissan Magnite has finally taken place.

Unveiled through a virtual event, the latest entrant to the compact SUV class is a stylish product from the Japanese brand.

It gets LED projector headlamps, L-shaped DRLs, indicators, fog lamps, big front grille with chrome outline, square wheel arches, wide fenders, 16-inch alloys, split tail lamps, silver skid plates front and rear and functional roof rails.

Nissan claims that the car has best-in-class visibility, shoulder room and rear knee room. Also, the rear armrest gets cupholders and mobile holder, while the rear seat has a 60:40 split.

Overall, the compact SUV, which is based on the same platform as the Renault Triber, has 336 litres of boot space, while its ground clearance is 205 mm.

Inside, the car will come with a contemporary dashboard with hexagonal air vents, 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, multi-function steering wheel, 6 speakers, among others.

The car also has many first-in-class features, says Nissan, including the 360 degree Around View Monitor (AVM) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. The glovebox has 10 litres of space.

Also, there is a “Tech Pack” that can be had with the car and that adds wireless phone charger, air purifier, puddle lamps and ambient mood lighting to the features list.

Engine-wise, the car will get a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol that will make 100 HP and it will come mated to a 5-speed MT, while there will also be an X-Tronic CVT transmission on offer.

A “Driving Eco Function” available with the car rates one’s driving, assigns a score and also provides suggestions to improve driving skills to be more efficient.

Safety features that it will come with, as mentioned during the Nissan Magnite reveal, include two front airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, TC, Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), TPMS and Hill Start Assist (HSA).
