Nissan India has rolled out a price hike for the turbo variants of its 2021 Magnite compact SUV by Rs. 30,000/-.
Earlier in January, the carmaker had only increased the ex-showroom rate of the base XE variant available with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine from Rs. 4.99 lakhs to Rs. 5.49 lakhs, while other variants did not witness any change.
Now, the carmaker has rolled out a price hike of Rs. 30,000/- for all of its turbo petrol variants, be it the manual or automatic versions.
Do note that the 2021 Nissan Magnite price hike does not affect the asking rates of the NA petrol versions. Also, the dual tone colour scheme available from the XV variant onwards is expected to cost Rs. 14,000/- more than the monotone shades like before.
Having launched the compact SUV in December last year, Nissan has received overwhelming response for the product. While bookings crossed the 40,000-unit mark, the brand is working on reducing the waiting period the Magnite commands at present.
Available with 2 petrol engine options – 1.0-litre NA unit (72 PS and 96 Nm) and a 1.0-litre turbo motor (100 PS and up to 160 Nm) – the Magnite comes in manual (5-speed) and automatic (CVT) versions as well.
