The Nissan Magnite launch is inching closer, revealed in latest teaser video.
Nissan Magnite teased along with 11 other cars from the Japanese carmaker’s global lineup. The ‘M’ letter in the background of the compact SUV confirms the name Magnite, which has not been revealed yet.
The compact SUV is scheduled to launch by August in India. It is supposed to come before the festive season and is not yet delayed. However, the timeline isn’t confirmed yet due to the production constraints with COVID-19 crisis.
The teaser video reveals the new generation Z, likely to be called Z400. Pathfinder, Qashqai, Armada, Frontier, Note, etc. have also been teased as their updated models are on their way.
The front profile of the Magnite has been revealed for the first time. It looks inspired by the Kicks. Comes with sleek headlights and DRLs along with a sizeable grille.
Nissan is betting big on the Magnite. It is likely to come with a starting price of Rs. 5.25 lakhs (ex-showroom). It was first supposed to come under Datsun branding. But since the brand is getting discontinued soon in the international markets, it’ll be offered under Nissan branding.
Nissan will be offering it with 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor. High-end variants to come with 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine option. 5-speed manual, AMT and even CVT are expected to be offered.
Some of the key features will include connected car tech, 360 degree camera, touchscreen infotainment, alloy wheels, etc. The key rival for the Magnite will be the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
