A production-spec Nissan Magnite has been spied and the good news is that the compact SUV closely resembles the concept, well quite.
Unveiled on 16th July, the sub-4 metre SUV had good design details that set it apart from its competitors. The Nissan Magnite spied as seen in the picture does carry over the styling cues, but has them toned down.
Only the front-end of the car is seen and we can notice that the large grille has the chrome trim on either side, connected with each other down below, swept-back headlamps and the sculpted bonnet are all present.
But there are changes too, like the bottom part of the bumper which a smaller version of the skid plate that was seen on the concept and chrome trim in the place where we expect DRLs to be housed.
Since the headlamps too are halogen units and not LEDs, this Nissan Magnite spied version might be one of the lower variants, with the near to the top ones likely to get LED headlights and DRLs.
The tyres are normal road oriented ones and we cannot see the chrome and red accent on the grille either. Below the grille is where the number plate will be housed.
These subtle revisions are expected to take place all over the car since it is expected that Nissan would be pricing it aggressively.
The details known thus far about the Nissan Magnite are that it will come with an 8-inch touchscreen, various connectivity options, 360 degree camera and cruise control.
The Nissan Magnite will be launched with a couple of 1.0-litre engines, a naturally-aspirated 3-cylinder unit producing 72 HP and a 3-cylinder turbocharged engine developing close to 100 HP.
Expected to go on sale in January next year, the compact SUV is likely to be priced around Rs. 5.25 lakhs. The top variants will be feature-rich and technology-rich, claims Nissan.
When launched, the Nissan Magnite will compete against the Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Hyundai Venue, among others.
