Nissan Magnite Facelift Spotted Testing, Launch On 4th October

Nissan Magnite facelift will get cosmetic changes and new features on offer

Nissan Magnite facelift is getting ready for its launch during the festive season on 4th October. Just a few weeks before its introduction, the compact SUV has been spotted testing wearing camouflage, hinting about the exterior changes of the car.

The front profile is expected to get a revised set of headlamps along with new DRLs. There will be a tweaked grille design to lend it a fresher look. The front and rear bumpers will also get some changes. The new alloy wheel design will be offered with dual tone look. The side profile will remain more or less the same and we don’t expect any changes here. The rear profile might come with a new set of tail lamps with new detailing.

On the inside, the dashboard will remain unchanged but we can expect a few changes like new colour tones, new steering wheel on offer, updated touchscreen infotainment system with new UI, new digital instrument cluster interface and more.

Additional safety features, such as six airbags, are also expected to be part of the upgrade. We don’t expect Nissan to offer ADAS with this facelift.

Under the hood, the Magnite facelift is expected to carry forward the existing powertrain options. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine, producing 71 BHP and 96 Nm of torque, will likely continue to be offered alongside the more powerful turbocharged version. The turbo-petrol variant delivers 99 BHP and 160 Nm of torque and is available with a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. The naturally aspirated version will likely remain paired with either a five-speed manual or an AMT.

We can expect Nissan to price it aggressively as the Magnite will continue to go up against established rivals including the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
