The Nissan Magnite concept has been revealed and the compact SUV is expected to go on sale by January 2021.
The sub-four metre SUV, the Japanese automaker claims, will be feature-rich, technology-rich and a game-changer in its segment with stylish design to boot.
Nissan also states that the Magnite is made on the philosophy of ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ and the car has been designed in Japan while keeping in mind the requirements of Indian customers.
Exterior design of the concept looks fresh with nice touches all-round. Up front, the headlights and DRLs look to be LED units.
The grille follows the redi-GO’s design, but the pattern is new and below it is the skid plate, completing the front profile.
The side profile looks simple, yet neat with wide haunches, plastic haunches for the wheel wells, stylish alloys, side skirts and a black roof with rails.
Rear profile of the Magnite concept looks stylish, getting LED taillights, while the bumper houses the rectangular exhaust outlets.
The interior of the Magnite concept was not shown with the reveal. However, we do know that the compact SUV will get an 8-inch touchscreen, various connectivity options, 360 degree camera and cruise control.
Nissan will retain most of the styling bits on the concept when the production version Magnite launch takes place.
The automaker claims that the new product will have segment first features and expects the compact SUV to transform the brand in India. It is expected to get 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and turbo petrol engine options.
Nissan Magnite launch will happen this fiscal year, and we expect the first cars to hit showrooms by January next year.
