Nissan has explained in detail about the design of the Magnite Concept by way of an official video and there is no two ways about it, the car is a looker.

India’s compact SUV market is crowded already and two more cars, excluding the Magnite, are going to join the bandwagon, meaning Nissan has its work cut out. So, it has pulled out all the stops in the design department.

The large grille, sleek LED headlights, Long and split DRLs along with a chunky lower bumper area give the car a very good presence. The highlight on the sides is that it does not have a continuous line, instead it had curves, creases and flared fenders giving it a nice shape.

At the back, the LED tail lights have rich detailing and like a few other compact SUVs, the Nissan Magnite Concept design incorporates large bumper and small glass area.

Inside, the car gets a wide dash, fully digital MID, horizontally-placed infotainment screen, AC vents atop it and a cliff section over the instrument cluster. Below, there are AC controls and the knobs look very cool, just like the gear selector.

Design of the Magnite Concept, the carmaker says, will take Nissan’s global SUV legacy into the future, adding that the car was specifically designed for India and its neighbouring countries.

If Nissan manages to keep these rich details intact on the production car, give it punchy engines and price it bang on target, it will have a winner in its hands. Let us hope the stars align this time around for the carmaker.
