The 2019 Nissan Kicks has been launched in India, with a starting price of Rs. 9.55 lakhs.
After a long wait, Nissan has finally launched the Kicks compact SUV in India. This SUV is brought in as a replacement to the Terrano. It is available in 4 diesel variants and 2 petrol variants and is priced from Rs. 9.55 – 14.65 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The India-spec Nissan Kicks is based on the B0 platform which also underpins the Renault Captur. In fact, the Kicks and Captur share quite a few components. On the outside though, the vehicle looks very different from the Captur and more in line with the global version of the Kicks.
The interior of the Nissan Kicks has been given a premium treatment. It comes with leather trims on the dashboard and door panels and gets leather seat covers too. Other features include a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push button start, 360-degree parking camera, automatic climate control and 4 airbags, along with ABS.
Nissan is offering the Kicks with the same engine options as the Renault Captur. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 105 HP and 142 Nm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine belts out 108 HP and 240 Nm and it comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. Nissan isn’t offering an automatic gearbox for now.
The 2019 Nissan Kicks is available in the following colours – Pearl White, Blade Silver, Bronze Grey, Amber Orange, Deep Blue Pearl, Night Shade and Fire Red. In addition, the XV Pre-Option variant is available with dual tone colour schemes like – Orange with White, White with Black, Grey with Orange and Red with Black. The Nissan Kicks is available in 4 variants – XL, XV, XV Pre and XV Pre-Option but the petrol engine is available only on the XL and XV variants.
