The Nissan Kicks will be launched in India in January 2019 and the specifications have now been revealed.
The Nissan Kicks will be launched in India next month. This compact SUV replaces the Terrano and it is here to compete with the Renault Captur, Ford EcoSport and Maruti S-Cross. On the exterior front, the India-spec Kicks shares a lot of styling bits with the global version but the Indian car is bigger in size measuring 4384 mm in length, 1813 mm in width and 1656 mm in height, along with having a wheelbase of 2673 mm.
The Nissan Kicks will be offered with a choice of 2 engines – 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol engine has an output of 106 PS at 5600 RPM and 142 Nm at 4000 RPM while the diesel engine produces 110 PS at 3850 RPM and 240 Nm at 1750 RPM. The petrol engine gets a 5-speed MT while the diesel gets a 6-speed MT.
The India-bound Nissan Kicks has a boot capacity of 400-litres while ground clearance is 210 mm. Its turning radius is 5.2-metres. The compact SUV comes with features like auto LED headlamps, auto AC, cooled & illuminated glovebox, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Cruise Control, cornering fog lamps, ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist, rain sensing wipers, 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Voice Recognition and a 360-degree view camera.
The Nissan Kicks is expected to be priced between Rs. 10-15 lakhs.
