Nissan Juke Sets World Record For Driving On 2 Wheels [Video]

The 2015 Nissan Juke RS completed the Goodwood circuit on two-wheels in a period of 2 minutes and 10 seconds, breaking the previous record by a healthy 35 second margin.

Terry Grand broke his own record that was originally conducted on a regular Juke in 2011

Th Nissan Juke itself has been one of the wackiest experiments that the Japanese manufacturer pulled out in recent times, and the automaker managed to take the entire concept to a whole new level when it introduced the Juke R and the Nismo RS versions later in the timeline. At the 2015 Goodwood Festival Of Speed (FOS) in the UK that was held over the weekend, Nissan once again enthralled the audience with the 2015 Juke Nismo RS as it created a new Guinness World Record of driving the crossover on two wheels.

In this latest stunt, the 2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS completed the Goodwood FOS circuit on two wheels in the very capable hands of stunt driver Terry Grant. The Juke Nismo RS ran the uphill course of 1.86 kms filled with several twists and turns at an average speed of 48 km/hr and completed the entire length in 2 minutes and 10 seconds, shattering the previous record of 2 minutes and 45 seconds. The difference has been a healthy 34 seconds. The fun part is that Grant was allowed six attempts to beat the previous record, but did so in the first attempt itself. Clearly, the All-Wheel Drive crossover managed to “balance” things well.

A special mention also goes to the commentators in the video below that make the entire event sound more like a test cricket match on a bright day. That probably has to do with the country’s creation of the sport we assume. The Nissan Juke Nismo RS is an untamed version of the crossover with the underpinnings of the GT-R for some unadulterated driving fun. Make sure to check out the Nissan Juke Nismo RS in the video below, because this takes some stellar driving skills.
