Bajaj Auto is planning to bring a new generation of Pulsar and Avenger by 2020.
Bajaj Auto has been in the industry for more than seven decades but they have started selling motorcycles in the mid-80’s. The company was doing well in both the scooter and motorcycle segment. But it was in 2001 when Bajaj launched the Pulsar, this 150cc bike took the whole nation by the storm. Even after seventeen years, the Pulsar is still one of the best-selling motorcycles in the 150cc segment.
The company is planning to bring a completely new generation Pulsar by 2020. There will be some major changes in the engine of this new generation Pulsar. The changes in the engine will be made to comply with the government’s new BS-VI norms that will be mandated in the year 2020. Along with the new engine, the Pulsar will be a completely new motorcycle in terms of design and features.
The company has been selling around 1 lakh units of Pulsar every month globally including India. Apart from the Pulsar range, the cruiser range of the Avenger will also be updated with a brand-new generation. It is expected to get a redesign with a new engine and new features.
