Skoda India recently completed 7 years of the first generation Kodiaq here and this SUV has been quite popular in the Indian market. First launched with a 2.0 TDI engine, the SUV currently gets a 2.0 TSI engine.
Skoda showcased the new generation Kodiaq a few months back globally and the vehicle is on sale in international markets. The Czech automaker will be launching the second generation Kodiaq in India in the first quarter of 2025. The company currently is working on clearing the stocks of the existing model first.
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is a little longer than the current model while the height and wheelbase remain almost identical. However, the company has revamped the interiors big time and carved out more space and better comfort for passengers, especially in the third row.
The new Skoda Kodiaq will also come with a bunch of extra features over the current model. As far as the engine goes, the vehicle will continue with the same 2.0-litre TSI EA888 engine which churns out 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque, along with a 7-speed DSG and AWD with different driving modes.
The automaker is currently running some offers to attract customers and if they manage to clear all the inventory of the existing Kodiaq by October, they might prepone the launch of the new model.
On a side note, Skoda also unveiled the new generation Superb globally, a few months back, but the model hasn’t been launched in India yet. The automaker relaunched the previous generation with a limited number of units on offer and at a higher price.
How many of you are waiting for the new Kodiaq and what do you think should be a good price for it?
