Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will retain the retro styling
Royal Enfield has officially confirmed the launch of the new generation Bullet 350. The Indian motorcycle maker has sent us a launch invite for 30th August – 1st September, it will be launched on either of these dates.
The invitation comes attached with this video teaser of the motorcycle, which shows a glimpse of the retro Royal Enfield logo with red and yellow colour scheme and lots of chrome on it. There is audio of the typical Bullet thump.
The invite says that it is the launch of an ‘old’ motorcycle from Royal Enfield, a 91-year old icon. No prizes for guessing the bike, it is indeed the new generation Bullet 350.
The bike maker will retain the retro look of the Bullet but there will be mild styling changes for some differentiation. RE will continue to offer hand-painted pinstripes on the fuel tank and the panels. However, it will get completely new mechanicals.
It will be based on the new J-series platform and will share the same 349cc engine with the Classic 350, Meteor 350 and the Hunter 350. RE is expected to offer wider tyres and better brakes with the new gen Bullet to improve the stability of the motorcycle.
We can expect it to get some modern features as well to keep up with the times. We believe it will get smartphone connectivity with bluetooth amongst other features.
Pricing is expected to be similar to the current model on sale. It is likely to get a hike of up to Rs. 10,000/- over the outgoing model.
