New Maruti Dzire to get segment first features, new design direction
Maruti Suzuki is set to unveil the highly anticipated new generation Dzire on 4th November 2024, following the debut of the updated Swift earlier this year. The Dzire, a popular sub-four-metre sedan, is getting a significant design and feature overhaul aimed at keeping it competitive in the Indian market.
Design Updates
The new Dzire will feature fresh aesthetic enhancements, including redesigned front and rear bumpers, a new grille with multiple horizontal slats and updated LED headlamps and fog lights. The car will also sport new dual-tone alloy wheels and LED taillights with triangular graphics, along with a shark-fin antenna to complete the modern look.
Interior Features
Inside, the new Dzire will be packed with upgraded features to cater to the evolving demands of Indian customers. The car will come equipped with an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, automatic climate control and cruise control. A dual-tone theme will dominate the cabin, highlighted by a large freestanding touchscreen and a flat-bottom steering wheel, giving the sedan a more premium feel.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the 2024 Dzire is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z-Series petrol engine from the new generation Maruti Swift. This engine will produce around 80 BHP and 112Nm of torque, with transmission options including a five-speed manual or AMT gearbox. A CNG variant is also in the pipeline, although it is unclear whether it will be available at launch or introduced later.
With its launch just around the corner, the new Maruti Dzire is poised to offer Indian consumers a refreshed, feature-rich option in the subcompact sedan segment.
