New Kia Carnival to be showcased at the Auto Expo
New Kia Carnival has been teased officially by Kia India’s YouTube channel. The South Korean carmaker has announced that they will be showcasing the new generation MPV at the Auto Expo this month.
It looks very different from the Carnival that is currently on sale in India. The new design has an appeal of an SUV and looks much more premium.
The interior also gets a new dashboard design and a more premium cabin with new features on offer. It comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, 3-zone climate control, wireless charging, powered front seats, ADAS, etc.
It will be available in 7, 9 and 11 seater options. The new MPV is longer than the current one on sale.
It will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine option in India. The Carnival is available with 2.2-litre diesel and 3.5-litre petrol engine option in the international market. The petrol motor is unlikely to make its way to India. Hence, it will only be available with diesel.
The new Carnival will compete with the new Toyota Innova HyCross in our country. The launch timeline will be revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo. Expected to hit the showrooms by second quarter.
