New Honda SUV, which is due for launch later this year, spotted testing
New Honda SUV based on the tweaked Amaze platform has been spotted testing for the first time. Usually Honda doesn’t test their cars on public roads but it seems like they are making it go through various terrains and environments across the country this time around.
The heavily camouflaged prototype hides most of the styling bits very well but if you observe closely, there is some kind of resemblance to the internationally sold HR-V and WR-V on the face.
It is expected to make its global debut by mid-2023 in India. Deliveries are expected to begin from Diwali 2023. It will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and the gang.
The new SUV will be based on a tweaked version of the Honda Amaze platform. It will share its engines with the City. To come with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine along with the strong hybrid powertrain. There will be no diesel engine on offer.
