The 2018 Audi A8 has been spied testing in India, was unveiled globally earlier this year.
The 2018 iteration of the Audi A8 has been spied testing in India. The flagship sedan from the German automaker will be launched in the long wheelbase version in India during the first half of next year.
The images of the spotted A8 reveal a black paint scheme and chrome lining on the windows. The front grille also gets a chrome finish. There is a chrome line that also merges into the tail-lights at either sides of the car.
The 2018 Audi A8 takes design inspiration from the Prologue concept which looks minimalistic yet sharp. The interior gets a virtual dashboard design with displays replacing the buttons. There are dedicated touch screens for the MMI unit, virtual cockpit and climate control. The steering wheel too gets a new design.
Being a luxury sedan, the Audi A8 offers seat and foot massagers also. Other features include a fully active suspension, level-3 autonomous drive and self parking. Powering the A8 are a host of engine options. There are revised 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engines with peak power outputs of 340 HP and 286 HP respectively. The A8 will also get 4.0-litre V8 petrol and diesel engines. The long wheelbase version gets a 6.0-litre W12 motor. Howcver, it remains to be seen what engine options will be offered in India.
