New generation Mercedes GLC arrives in India
Mercedes has officially announced the arrival of the new generation GLC in India by sending out some camouflaged images of the car on Indian roads.
The car comes with an interesting wrap of starry camouflage. It is slightly bigger than the outgoing GLC which has been the best selling SUV in their Indian lineup. The GLC is quite popular amongst Indian audience. The new one will further attract more buyers.
In terms of styling, the second generation GLC looks more mature and sharper. It has a sleeker set of headlights up front, new grille design and new bumpers. From the side it looks more or less the same. However, the new alloy wheels look quite premium.
The rear profile looks quite premium with the new tail lights that looks inspired from its elder siblings. The overall silhouette might remind you of the outgoing GLC but the styling has been updated substantially to make it look more premium.
The interior has been completely revised as it comes with a new dashboard with a floating centre console housing a huge touchscreen infotainment system. The S-Class inspired touchscreen unit is 11.9-inches while the all-digital instrument cluster behind the steering measures 12.3-inches.
The new GLC will be offered in India with mild-hybrid 2.0-litre diesel and petrol powertrain options.
