The next-gen Hyundai Santa Fe gets radical design and is loaded with many features.
Korean manufacturer, Hyundai will be launching nine vehicles in India by the end of 2020. These vehicles range from small cars to flagship SUV and few EVs. The Hyundai Santa Fe is included in these nine cars and will be the company’s flagship SUV.
The Santa Fe will get comprehensive styling on the outside. The grille will be inspired by the Kona e-SUV. The SUV will be bigger in dimensions along with longer wheelbase. The Santa Fe also gets a set of new sharper LED tail lamps, new LED DRLs, a new tailgate and a new rear bumper with silver skid plate and twin chrome-tipped exhaust.
The car gets premium quality interiors and the dashboard will be of soft-touch material. There will be a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The SUV gets a three-parts instrument cluster, multifunctional steering wheel and an 8.5-inch heads-up display (HUD).
Safety wise the new Santa Fe comes with front anti-collision assist, blind-spot warning, lane keep assist, driver attention warning, rear parking camera with guidelines, cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist and much more.
Powering the SUV is a 2.2-litre CRDi turbocharged diesel engine which churns out 200 BHP. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic torque converter unit. The power from the engine is supplied to all four wheels and it comes with multiple driving modes. The car, when launched, will take on the Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
