BMW Motorrad has released a new video for the G310R entry level performance bike. The video showcases the ability of the bike to be a versatile performer which is fit for any situation.
The BMW G310R is one of the most awaited bikes of the year. The small displacement baby performance machine from the German-Indian partnership of BMW and TVS is designed to be sold in price sensitive markets of the world such as the sub-continent and South East Asian markets. Now to ignite more interest in the bike, BMW Motorrad has released a new advertisement on their Youtube channel for everyone to enjoy.
The latest video featuring the street naked motorcycle showcases the versatile nature of the bike such as the BMW G310R is perfect for negotiating the fast curves of a down-hill course or just hanging out with your friends on a day to day basis. The video focuses on how the motorcycle is just like a second nature to the owner and every moment spent with the machine is an adventure in itself. Smart photography and cinematography flaunts the different features of the bike and its beautiful lines in an attractive way.
BMW is expected to launch the G310R street bike in the country later this year and that too with a very attractive price tag. The motorcycle is powered by a 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with four valves and two overhead camshafts, together with electronic fuel injection. The striking feature of the engine is its backward-tilted cylinder in open-deck design with the cylinder head turned 180 degrees.
The engine of the BMW G310R develops an output of 33.5 BHP and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle will only accept 95 octane petrol though, has a top speed of 140 km/hr and a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres, the 3 reasons to dislike this German machine.
The motorcycle, which is one of the initial products from the joint venture of BMW and TVS, is also going to form the basis for the TVS Akula full-faired sportsbike which wowed the audience with its naked carbon-fibre fairing bodywork at this year’s Auto Expo in Delhi. When launched, the BMW motorbike will compete with other European as well as Japanese offerings such as the KTM Duke 390 and the upcoming Yamaha MT-03.
