BMW India has preponed the launch of the new 5-Series by a few months do the poor sales of the luxury car against its arch German rival Mercedes. Launched a few weeks back in Europe, the F10 5-Series will be launched in our country on 30th April. The Bavarian automaker had to modify its assembly line and procure CKD kits to ensure the launch of the new 5-Series ahead of schedule. The new BMW 5-Series will initially be launched in 535i and 530d variants and will see a slight price hike. The car currently has huge discounts on it, so get it while they last. In the first quarter of 2010 642 E-Class units were sold whereas BMW could manage to sell only 305 units of the 5-Series.
