New Bajaj V variant will launch in India by October as Bajaj intends to garner a 26 percent market share.
Bajaj has planned a new V variant launch by this October following the launch of the CT 100 ES, Platina ES Spoke and Pulsar NS 160.
Bajaj top boss had said that the company has planned new variants for all its 7 brand of motorcycles by this December. Expect Bajaj to launch a new variant of the V12 and V15 most probably in the form of new colours or body graphics. The most affordable from the V range is the V12 that launched earlier this year borrowing design cues from the elder sibling V15.
“There is a good product action planned for Platina and V. All these products will be placed well before the festive,” S Ravikumar, President, Business Development, Bajaj Auto, said.
Powering the Bajaj V12 is a 125cc engine that puts out 10.7 HP of power and 10.9 Nm of torque while the V15 is powered by a 150cc engine that puts out 12 HP of power and 12.7 Nm of torque. Both these engines come mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Both the V12 and V15 come with front disc brakes (it is optional on the V12) and a rear drum brake. While the V15 gets fatter 33 mm telescopic forks up front, the V12 gets 30 mm forks. At the rear, both the V12 and V15 get twin Nitrox suspension.
While the Bajaj V12 rivals the Hero Glamour and Honda CB Shine, the Bajaj V15 rivals the Honda CB Unicorn 150 and Hero Achiever.
