Bajaj Auto plans to update and launch new variants of the V, Avenger and Pulsar.
Bajaj Auto is a master of leveraging platforms to launch new variants of one motorcycle brand. Currently, the Pulsar has six variants with bikes vastly differing from each other, from the humble city commuter Pulsar 135 LS to the flagship Pulsar RS 200 which boasts of performance and practical handling, there is a Pulsar for almost everyone. Similar is the case with the Avenger which is available in three variants.
If you thought that Bajaj Auto has pretty much done its job for 2017, you would be wrong, horribly wrong because the company has a lot in store. Not only can we expect updates to the V, Pulsar and Avenger bikes but new model additions are also likely. While Rajiv Bajaj has revealed plans of launching new variants of its aforementioned brands, no details have been revealed.
So what could it be? A 100cc bike on the V platform? Bajaj V10? A more powerful Avenger cruiser with a retuned engine from the Pulsar 200 NS? Anything is possible. But when it comes to new Pulsars, we can make some guesses. Bajaj could launch the Pulsar 160 NS in India, it already sells it in Turkey. The Pulsar AS 200 could make a comeback as a more purpose oriented machine. Who knows, maybe the Pulsar RS 400 might finally see the light of the day.
