Honda has launched the new 2012 Dio in India, which is powered by a more powerful 110cc engine, producing 8 BHP of power. The company claims the Honda Dio 110 returns 55 kmpl of fuel efficiency, which is 15% higher than the previous model. Deliveries of the new Dio will start by the end of the month and the scooter now features a redesigned front end along with revisions to the tail lights. Other features include Honda’s Combi brake system, tubeless tyres and a wider seat. The Combi brake system activates front and rear brakes from a single press. The price of the 2012 Honda Dio 110 is Rs. 42,630/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). This update to the Dio comes 8 years after its original launch way back in 2002, when it was powered by a 102cc engine.
“The increased convenience and comfortable riding position of New Dio will appeal to both style conscious young males and females,” Mr N.K. Rattan, Vice President – Sales, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, said.
