MV Agusta has rolled out some updates for the 2021 model year Rush 1000, which remains a limited edition model with only 300 units to be made.
Now, the 998cc 4-cylinder engine has new components like DLC-coated valve guides that reduce internal friction. The motor also has new camshaft timing, which MV says will improve torque in both low-end and mid-range.
Peak power output is at 208 HP at 13,000 RPM and the engine’s maximum torque rating is 116.5 Nm which arrives at 11,000 RPM. In addition, the 6-speed gearbox has been strengthened, while the quickshifter gets a new shift sensor for precise gear changes.
Then, MV Agusta worked on the hyper-naked motorcycle’s fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension for better handling characteristics and the ABS system gets a new Continental MK100 module with cornering function, while top-notch Brembo hardware stays as is.
But, the biggest change on the 2021 MV Agusta Rush 1000 has taken place in the electronics department. Sporting a new IMU platform which allows for real-time identification of the bike’s position, Rush 1000’s traction control, wheelie control systems and the like are more refined.
Also, the motorcycle gets a 5.5-inch TFT instrument display with My MV App compatibility. But, the design, frame, LED lighting units have all been left untouched.
Each and every customer who purchases the 2021 MV Agusta Rush 1000 will be treated with a racing kit. Its contents include a racing ECU (bumps power to 212 HP), a race exhaust, CNC fuel cap, machined levers, brake and clutch protectors, covers for the dash, pillion seat and exhaust, additional LED indicators and a motorcycle cover.
