The MV Agusta F3 800 RC is a limited edition model with only 9 units to be sold in India. Bookings are open and deliveries will start from November 2016.
The MV Agusta F3 800 RC Limited Edition has been launched in India, priced at Rs. 19.73 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune). Only 250 units of this superbike are set to be produced globally and 9 units have been allotted to India. Bookings have opened for the F3 800 RC at dealerships and the company’s website Motoroyale.in with deliveries set to commence from the first week of November.
RC stands for Reparto Corse which is the race version of the F3 (the highest selling motorcycle for MV Agusta in India). This limited edition model is the last of the bikes manufactured under Mercedes-Benz’ AMG performance division and the company states it’s a collector’s edition as it comes autographed by F3 RC race riders Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti, having a limited edition serial number and ID plaque.
The MV Agusta F3 800 RC is powered by a 798cc, three-cylinder, 12-valve, DOHC engine which produces 148 BHP of power at 13,000 RPM and 88 Nm of torque at 10,600 RPM. The motorcycle has 8 level traction control with 4 modes and the top speed is 269 km/hr. It is underpinned by a steel tubular trellis frame, using Marzocchi upside down forks at the front, a Sachs monoshock at the rear and a single-sided swingarm. The dry weight of the F3 800 RC is 173 kgs.
Braking duties are taken care by dual-floating 320 mm front discs and a 220 mm rear disc. The bike gets ABS, race mode and RLM. It uses 120/70/17 and 180/55/17 tyres at the front and rear respectively. The Italian supersport bike really stands out with the twin-tone red colour which gets white decals and a paint shade similar to MV Agusta’s race bikes. The MV Agusta F3 800 RC comes with a bike cover as well as a paddock stand. The motorbike rivals its Italian compatriot, the Ducati Panigale 959.
