Ather – The Indian electric scooter maker has raised Rs. 260 crores in their latest round of funding. Ather Energy has received Rs. 170 crores from Sachin Bansal and Rs. 89 crores from Hero MotoCorp. The EV maker is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility and is working on expanding their network across the country.
Mahindra – The Indian UV maker has delivered more than 500 units of the new Mahindra Thar over the weekend. The off-roader is in high demand while the bookings of the AX variants are closed. The lower variants have been removed from the website as well. The waiting period is over 7 months now and Mahindra has decided to ramp up the production considering the high demand. The AX trims will be re-introduced once the production is up to its pace according to the demand.
Volvo – The luxury carmaker has removed the V90 Cross Country from their official website in India. It seems like the car has been discontinued. It was powered by a 2.0-litre diesel unit. Currently, Volvo has listed the XC40, XC60, XC90 and S90 on their website in India.
Pista Motor Raceway – Good news for enthusiasts! After the announcement of a new race track near Pune, there is another one being built near Hyderabad. Pista Motor Raceway is being built in Dundigal, which is an hour away from the airport. Along with a 3.7 km race track, it will have a drag strip and an off-road track as well. The track will be completely ready by 2023, meanwhile the drag strip will be operational next year and the first phase of track by 2022.
