BMW – Under their ‘Power of Choice’ sustainability plan, the German luxury carmaker is gearing up to introduce 9 new all-electric vehicles by 2025. The new range of electric models will include i1, iX1, i3, iX3, i4, i5, iX5, i7 and iX7. BMW will continue to produce petrol and diesel powered vehicles in the future but alongside they plan to have a wide range of electric powertrain options as well.
Piaggio – The two-wheeler maker has now introduced new leasing options in India. It is currently available for Pune and Bengaluru. Piaggio has partnered with OTO Capital to come up with the new leasing scheme. Initially they are offering Vespa and Aprilia scooters with 30 percent discount on the EMI. They also have a special offer discount of Rs. 2500 on the first month’s subscription fee.
Ducati – The Italian premium bike maker has teased the new BS6 Ducati Scrambler for the Indian market. It just shows the headlamp of the bike. Launch is expected to happen by the end of this month as Ducati plans to boost their volumes during the festive season in India.
Toyota – Maruti Baleno based Toyota Glanza is being exported to South Africa from India and is being sold as Toyota Starlet in the South African market. It comes with the same styling and features but gets a new name along with a different engine which is a 1.4-litre petrol motor.
Motor Trivia – Did you know, on an average it takes 30,000 parts to make a regular car but for making an F1 car it takes 80,000 parts.
