News highlights of the day include Harley-Davidson, Bajaj Auto, Indian Motorcycles and Tata Motors.
Harley-Davidson – The American motorcycle maker is developing their entry-level 338cc motorcycle. The bike will make its global debut in June 2020. It will be based on the Benelli 302 platform sharing a lot in common. India launch is expected to happen in the near future.
Bajaj Pulsar – The Indian bike maker is celebrating 18th anniversary of the Pulsar brand. Bajaj Auto has sold more than 1.2 crore units of the bike since its launch in 2001. It is currently being sold in over 65 countries across the globe.
Indian Challenger – The premium American motorcycle maker has started accepting bookings for the Indian Challenger. It was first unveiled at the 2019 EICMA show. It comes with a 1769cc, liquid-cooled, 60-degree V-twin engine that produces 121 BHP at 5500 RPM and 173.5 Nm of torque at 3800 RPM.
Tata Harrier – The Harrier has recently completed 1 year of its launch in the market. Just like most of the other automakers, Tata Motors has increased the price of their cars too. The Harrier’s price has also been increased by up to Rs. 45,000/- depending on variant to variant.
Motor Trivia – Did you know, Hindustan Motors had introduced a sub-4 metre Ambassador to get it exempted from higher tax.
