Nissan – The much awaited Nissan Magnite has received good traction within 5 days of launched. The Japanese carmaker has received 5000 bookings already for the new compact SUV. Meanwhile, they have received over 50,000 enquiries. More than 60 percent of the customers have opted for the top 2 variants. 30 percent bookings are for the CVT automatic transmission. 40 percent bookings came through their digital channel.
MG Motor – The latest premium SUV Gloster has received an overwhelming response from the Indian market. MG Motor has delivered 7 new units of the SUV in a single day in Cochin. All the 2000 units of the first batch imported have been sold out. Fresh deliveries will commence from January.
Ather – The electric scooter maker raised another round of funding recently. They are rapidly expanding their presence across the country. Ather Energy has now announced their entry in 16 new cities – Mysore, Hubli, Jaipur, Indore, Panaji, Bhubaneshwar, Nasik, Surat, Chandigarh, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Nagpur, Noida, Lucknow and Siliguri. The new Ather 450X scooter will be available in a total of 27 cities in India by Q1 2021.
Mahindra – We haven’t seen such crazy demand for a lifestyle vehicle in a long time in India. The new generation Mahindra Thar with its much needed update is getting tremendous demand from across the country. The Indian carmaker has sold around 2500 units of the Thar in its first month of launch. Meanwhile, the waiting period has crossed 9 months. Mahindra plans to ramp up the production to meet the demand and cut the waiting period.
